Luna-Lisa-1 and Luna-Lisa-Alpha are names circulating in community reports about possible image-model tests. The reports are worth tracking, but the model identities, provider, relationship between the two aliases, release plans, and claimed connection to OpenAI remain unconfirmed.

We found social posts and a secondary article using the Luna Lisa names, but no official model card, provider statement, public Arena reveal, API documentation, or reproducible provenance package. This page documents a developing rumor; it does not present Luna Lisa as an announced OpenAI product.

What is Luna Lisa?

“Luna Lisa” currently describes at least two reported aliases rather than a verified commercial model. One community reply used luna-lisa-1 while comparing it with mona-lisa-1 and GPT Image 2. A separate post linked to an article using luna-lisa-alpha. Those posts show that the names are circulating; they do not establish who created either system.

Temporary aliases are plausible in blind model testing. Arena's leaderboard policy explains that providers can test unreleased models anonymously under unique aliases. That protects the blind comparison, but it also means a memorable codename is not evidence of provider identity, a final product name, or a guaranteed release.

Where did the Luna Lisa report come from?

The visible source trail is short and mostly circular. In screenshots reviewed by Froging AI, X user Curline Zephirin replied to @R2Cdev and described Luna-Lisa-1 as stronger than Mona-Lisa-1 and GPT Image 2. The screenshot contains no benchmark protocol, repeated trials, untouched output files, or provider reveal, so the ranking should be treated as one person's reported impression.

Another X post linked to an AiHaber article . That article calls Luna-Lisa-Alpha a new GPT Image checkpoint and mentions TestingCatalog, but it does not link to a specific TestingCatalog report. Its final source line names @chetaslua without linking to the underlying post or supplying the original test evidence. We could not independently locate a discoverable TestingCatalog report that resolves those gaps.

The most defensible source chain is therefore: a reported community test, followed by X commentary, followed by a secondary news post, followed by additional reposts. Repetition across that chain does not turn the original claim into independent confirmation.

Each clue could justify further investigation, but none replaces a provider announcement or a reproducible verification trail tied to untouched source files.

OpenAI's current official catalog lists GPT Image 2 as its state-of-the-art image generation model. The official model directory does not list Luna-Lisa-1 or Luna-Lisa-Alpha. An experimental checkpoint could exist without public documentation, but that possibility is not confirmation.

Is a Luna Lisa API available?

No verified provider has announced a Luna Lisa API. We have not found a public endpoint, stable model ID, price, rate limit, supported resolution list, safety documentation, service commitment, or commercial-use policy for either reported alias. Even if either alias is accessible through an anonymous comparison surface, that would not provide the controls or usage rights required for a production integration.

Froging AI does not currently offer Luna Lisa and will not label another model as Luna Lisa based on community speculation.
