Tell the model what moves—and what must stay stable
The best image-to-video prompts distinguish subject motion, environmental motion, and camera motion. They also state what should remain unchanged, especially identity, product shape, and composition.
Separate three kinds of motion
Describe subject motion, environmental motion, and camera motion independently. A portrait might blink and breathe while hair moves in a light breeze and the camera performs a very slow push-in.
Protect the important details
Identity, product geometry, costume design, logos, architecture, and framing can drift during animation. Name the elements that must remain stable, especially when the source image has a recognizable person or precise object.
Keep motion proportional to the image
A close portrait usually needs restrained micro-motion. A wide action illustration can support stronger movement and parallax. The source composition should determine how ambitious the animation prompt becomes.
Do I need a long motion prompt?
No. One subject action, one camera move, and one preservation constraint are often enough.
How do I preserve the original face or product?
Explicitly ask the model to preserve identity, proportions, framing, and design while animating only the requested motion.
